MickC 1,825
just wondering if any on here have used the infa red filter you can get for the lightforce lamps.Apparently there is no visible light from the lamp when its in use. There not cheap but they could be handy when out calling,or for keeping a low profile.
skinnyrat 0
critters dont see in color, only black and white, that includes your dog, so using a filter to change the white light to a color doesnt spook the game as much, but if they have been lamped a few times with a filter they soon start running when you put the filtered light on them, maby if you changed from red to amber this may help, but as you say they arnt cheap, and i only have a red good hunting Skinnyrat
Guest The Hob
I use a red fiter on my Deben pro-max when out shooting with the air rifle. Ive found I can get a lot closer to the rabbits than with a normal white light. Ive even been able to stand [bANNED TEXT] next to the rabbit and its only run when I try to pick it up. (no they havnt had myxy either). I think the filter is much better.
