Hi, my youngest pup, who is just under 7mths, grawls at me and anybody else when he has a bone, or a pigs ear, trotter of snout, etc. He doesnt grawl when he is eating and being fed, you can put your hand in his bowl. Its just he is very protective of his things he likes best. Doesnt do it with his domby, or rabbit pelts, do you think this natural.?

You want to knock that out of him sharpish, any sign of agression needs sorted immediately. Belt him & take it away from him. No doubt some Barbara Woodhouse will say otherwise :whistling:

perfectly natural..................... its a possession related reaction.....its his bone....he dosnt want you to have it.......but when push comes to shove...........he looses his bollocks

.........if he's not snapping at you and you can handle his food whilst he's eating.........then let him growl his little pecker off :victory:

The thing you do to a dog for obidence is grab them by the scruff of the neck and twist, till they yelp and submit!! Not beat them!

If a dog shows any aggression towards humans it should be dealt with harshly, my dogs learnt that whilst pups & since then had no bother. A large bull x allowed to find its feet & allowed to assert itself could do some damage, wouldn't take that chance with kids around. Its worked for me ;)

Like I said, I'd punish them when pups if need be & its worked for me & I get no trouble when they're older. If you honestly think no one hits their dogs ur dreaming pal, u might get a few jumping on the band wagon now though. No one hits their kids either do they?

I dont believe people hit there dogs, and all the guys i hunt with, or visit shows with, or dig with, would give the person a dig them selves if they saw them beating a dog or a kid! What kind of a man beats a defenceless animal, that is going to work for you for the rest of its life...... leave it now, because your winding me up!

MATE, I've looked through your posts like you said to. Who the f**k are you kidding? You said when you first joined THL that you had been hunting etc for over 30yrs.Lets take a few of your posts as examples i.e - How slim or fat should a bull x be? If you don't know how a healthy dog should look you shouldn't be keeping them. What height will my pup make? Surely a man with your experience knows that it could throw towards the size of the smallest or biggest dogs in its breeding. You could've asked Mystic Meg to check her crystal ball. How many helpers would I need to ferret these limestone warrens? Surely a hunter of your calibre, who said he also likes a dig, can manage a days ferreting without assistance. Russ, your full of shit mate. You see your dogs as a collection & your aim is to breed the ultimate ferret :clapper: Could it be that you are looking to fill the void left by the late D.B.Plummer? Now your winding me up. I do hope THL members take the time to look back at your previous posts & see you for what you really are - A PRETENDER :feck:
