BlueCoyote 0
according to some sources guineas and chickens can interbreed..... supposedly we have some. i mean... we hatched out guinea eggs but there wasnt (to our knowledge!) a male guinea around here.... but were several roosters about... doing their thing.... to the guinea hens... so.. what good is a guinea/chicken hybrid? can ya eat it? should ya eat it? hows the eggs? do they do the same job eating bugs like a guinea or are they annoying and nasty and scratch up the ground like chickens? Netter 0
I got this from a website about Hybrid birds, “Domestic fowl have been crossed with guinea fowl, these are extremely rare and are known as interfamilial hybrids, as both are different species and are not closely related.†If they were mine I wouldn’t be eating them. Also “the Peafowl and the Common Guinea fowl have been crossed. Domestic Fowl/Pheasant hybrids have also occurred naturally. Domestic chickens and quail have been hybridised using artificial insemination.†
