Guest bitsa lurcher
have you had your bitch tested for any other genetic disorders ??? not looking for arguments or having a poke at you , i'm very keen and interested in the breed and like to hear a difference of opinion
kreet 0
what other test's would you suggest getting she has had both her eye's and ear's tested and she has done some agility work runs with me twice a week and runs along side my bike 3 days a week for upto 8 mile's at considerable speed i never have had and dont see why i will have a problem with her i knew they could have hip problems but my bitch came from a decent boy with good dogs i stay in touch with 2 of her litter brothers and her litter sister but her sister well the owners . the only problem is that i wish i had done more with her than i have done and im not wanting a bitch out of her to show/compete and as a general companion and guard dog was considering schutzhund but it takes alot of time and work that im unsure if i have at this point with all the other things i do with my dogs and horse's also forgot she hacks out at weekends with the horse's touch wood she has been amazing and no problems hope it stays that way . i seen the pup you got bitsa lurcher its a nice little thing i like the look of the mother what have you got planned for it. kreet 0
she is a good bitch she can get a bit funny with other dogs on our property and once someone jumps in the back yard they wouldnt be leaving till you allowed them but im mostly after a pup from her to know get into the breed a bit further i havent done much in the breed but have seen enough to know she would have been a good bitch in a few fields . if i get a pup to almost the same as her ill be happy . i didnt know much about the problems with the breed myself but i have had to part with two already due to hip problems and behaviour problems i had a male from untested parents who turned out to have very bad hip bye 14 months and i had him pts as it wasnt worth the pain the dog could have been going threw nor the time and money another ten years of him would have cost the other bitch i owned was fine but one day her and the bitch i have now stopped getting along i think it was just due to them becoming sexualy mature and trying to find a dominint so i had to decide on giving her to a mate who doesnt have other dogs or kids. i have learnt the hard way with the breed but am now a bit more in the know of things the only reason she had a previous litter to a cane corso i used to own got to her when i was working away i rehomed the litter with mate's and it cost me more on food to keep them till 8 weeks than i made of the whole litter i could have had another 3 litters from her as she has broken down 4 or 5 other times but iv just bid my time and if i wait abit longer she wont be as young and able for them as she is just now. regards kris.
