Sigmund Fraud 0
We've just started breeding aylsbury's, khaki campbell's and various chickens (we also have a single Indian runner, she acts as the mother to all the khaki's. The current stock are all for breeding, although we're using incubators for hatching as khaki's and aylsbury's don't get very broody. I'm just wondering what the rule of thumb is for when khaki's are at their best for eating? Is it around the same time as aylsbury's at eight weeks?

Sigmund Fraud 0
Ah, I learned the broody information from here. You'd eat them at eight months?

Netter 0
Khaki Campbells are laying ducks, so they won't make the same weight as an Aylsbury or a Silver Appleyard, but saying that if you have too many drakes, or older ducks they are worth eating, provided there is enough meat on them.
