lorelei0922 2
Ferrets don't groom like cats so it wont be hair ,let the vet take a look mate, i agree if you think its something to be concerned over... get to the vet... That being said.. Both my jills moulted like CRAZY the first couple weeks after giving birth, and one had a nasty hacky wheeze and i had noticed lots of extra hair and grooming ... so gave it a bit of hair ball paste and it eased considerably over the week. But do be cautious ferrets go down hill SO fast... so often their just isn't time for wait and see.. Quote Link to post

Beaphar is the brand.. i bought it as a "must have" lol Yeah right! when i first got them as kits.. they turned their noses up at it.. and i did some reading and found out its VERY unlikely that they actually suffer from hairballs ( though i do know a few that ended up with severe cases either needing laxatives or surgery but thats SOO rare!) All i know is that i was very concerned and had wrung the vet for an emergency apt ... she'd only JUST given birth ya know .. so i was a worried grandma LOL but the weeze subsided with the first treatment and the vet said likely that was the problem then.. and to give them a call if it got ANY worse.. which thankfully it didnt... Guest olofthegr8
the only problem about taking her to the vets is that she has kits and, only had them for a week so how long can she be away from them for? i could call the vets but that will be extautionate Quote Link to post
droid 11
Have a ring round. Local vets charge £15 for a callout. Getting an animal to them and back costs me £12 by taxi..... Quote Link to post
