let me just show a very simple equation

 

In season - dogs ran regulary for longer = fit dogs

 

Out of Season - dog excercised twice a day in tall cover and warm tempertaures = not so fit dogs

i run early morning rabbits and on a nite when its starting to cool down and i swim them simple

Take them out on the bike a 3 0r 4 nights a week. Does the job 4 me. Not the same as race fit but better than sittin on your arse waitin for winter.

whats the point off letting your dog go when winter ends? dogs should be fit all year round, im my own opinion.

Dont get me wrong........my bitches arnt dragging their fat arses around and are still fit and excercised twice a day........... but nothing like wintertime............when they're in tip - top condition.............

 

even though...still miss my sport this time of year................

i like mine to have a it of a let down time but still keep them fit , i also run mine on a lure couple of times a week as well as ball work , helps pups with twists and turns and better pick up too , still have roughly 2/4 hrs a day exercise

uuummmmm yes they are .......

 

they are out early morning and late evening and swim most days ... they get as much conditioning work in the summer as they do in the winter just a different type .................

ive just some permisson on some golf course's so mine are still out lamping that's what ive got the glof course's for the summer and the rabbit's are flying on them so my dog's got to be fit to catch them

i give them two miles three nites a weeek then runs at rabbs or just hunting and thtas enough till aug then i step it up and there diet to and then they are fit to work a good nits lamping or daylight etc
