mattydski 560
I am about to buy a new 12g and I am considering either the Silver Pigeon or the Browning 525, has any one got any advice to sway me one way or the other? I have a Silver Pigeon, 28" M/C Field. Good looking gun, handles supperbly. However, after a heavy month of nearly 1000 rounds on Clays and Vermin, started missfiring. Went back to dealer, 48 hrs later was returned as ok, i have only put 500 rds through since, and has been ok. Great wood, well made, but time will tell with reliability. Not thinking of changing it though. Quote Link to post
Radders 0
Just had a look at both in the shop today -2nd hands I'd have gone for the silver pigeon but it's 28" and I need 30". The wood on the Browning felt too shiny but the fit for me was much better. I'm now trying to decide between a 2nd hand or getting a new cheaper brand. I will hopefully have my SGC by the CLA game fair time so might try and find a bargain there. P Quote Link to post
