LAKEYDUGS 0
Alright All, Just Joined,From Glasgow,Neilston, Been working terriers for 2 years dug to many fox which has been great experiance for me and enjoyment, I have just recently got my young fell type dog going (ZAR) 2 weeks past which was a great feeling as I have had him since a pup so it was good to see all the effort I had put into him pay off as well as learning a few tips along the way, I have a slight problem with my lakey bitch (RUSTY) who is just coming onto 18months old, I got her when she was 13mnth old and think that we just managed to save her as she had never seen anything other that the park she was walked in. I have had her on digs to see what it is all about and she has half entered into earths when hearing the rumble below and baying from working terrier on the quary, She has also had a good rag at a fox twice now but she is very dour. I have been to earth's that are holding as we marked with other dog and when we collar her up and let her roam freely she seems disheartened????????? Does anybody have any suggestions or experiance with these type of terriers that could help me out with her (I fully understand that some dogs will just not go) appreciate any advice or tips that are given How do you load pics to this ???? Cheers Dig deep throw well back Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,102
Sometimes pays to take the youngster back to basics-ie-rats.This sometimes rekindles or starts the prey drive in an otherwise confused terrier.Sadly though as you said ,not all terriers make the grade.
