I was out rabbiting tonight, using the 223 because I got it thoroughly sorted the other day and wanted to see how it performed, even if the ranges ended up being very short (90+ yards longest shot of the evening). I had a shot at about 35 yards, standing, on this rabbit. I pulled the shot slightly, started out as a head shot. This was the result: The rabbit was clearly dead - it had a gaping hole, its eyes were glazed over, it didn't react to anything. Yet, and you can see the mess in the picture, somehow the heart was still beating. How does that work?! Anyone seen this before? Edited May 12, 2008 by Mr_Logic Quote Link to post
