youngsters beware

Recommended Posts

while at a barby yesterday,my mates nephew asked my advice on ferrets. he said he,d seen some at an agricultural market. he said, the guy said that they were workers, he had 3 jills and 2 hobs. the guy was handleing one of the jills but not the others :whistling: . thing is,if i,d got a ferret that i,d nertured, spent time and money on and got working rabbits theres no way it would be going for a tenner as was the price of these,a ferret like that is pretty bloody priceless, and if the guy was a propper ferret man,one phone call to the grapevine and they would have been snapped up for at least double that price and he wouldn,t have to hawk them at markets..so it,s like they say IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE,IT PROBABLY IS, but when i was 14 ,if an adult in a cammy coat ,told me these ferrets were the best in the country,id probly av beleived him too....

The big problem this time of years is you cant guarantee the jills arnt pregnant & then its to late , i would be wary off buying from anyone who is selling them from anywhere other than there home, you csn see the conditions they live in , you could be buying a whole load off sick ferrets as well & then risk passing on illness to your own stock
