Guest blitz Posted May 5, 2008 Report Share Posted May 5, 2008 went shooting crows and woodys today got decoys set out and hide out .got new over and under out.loaded up.crows and pigeons everyway and could,nt hit one of them.after 4 hours emptied a box of shells and got 3 crows.absoulty gutted !!thought i could go straight from firing auto to o/u,how wrong was i.well you know what the say practice makes perfect.so i,ll be back out friday. If i may make a suggestion, if you shoot over a horseshoe patern, move the front decoy so it`s about 25 yards away. This can help with your strike rate. I think that unless the shooter is good, the average is one pigeon per two or three cartridges. Am i right ?? basil. Quote Link to post

Am i right ??basil. my dad who is also my shooting pal swears by horse shoe pattern and also told me not to sell the auto.but i fancied a change so lets hope i start hitting them cause at 30 years old i,m not to happy with i told you so!plus he come off the field with 35 with average 2 out of 3 so i think i better start improving!!
