4x4 pickups

I've got an old landy series 3 which i bought and drove to London from Accrington Stanley, its short wheel base and in low gear will climb a 45 degree grassy slope, its uncomfy cold noisy and when you take it in to a garage you get shaking heads cos they dont know where to get the parts etc specialists are ok put sting you for the parts. I've also bought a surf import, much more comfortable shed loads of room, bit skittery on the road with mud tyres but very ccapable off road as long as you dont ground it due to lwb. At work we recently drove 3 isuzu troopers to Belgium they were juicy but fast as f**k comfortable and a decent amount of room, L200's have driven a new one and seemed ok but nothing to stick out, driven my mates ford a couple of hundred miles up to some country show last year, it was ok but seemed a bit wallowy. Decide if you are going to go seriously off road and if so i would hazard a guess that the landy brigade are right, have never driven a new one so i cant comment on comfort etc. Pick ups are ok but that separate back is not as big as you may think and though its ok for keeping stinky ferrets and muddy dogs separate from the cabin they're shite if you want to shift a cupboard fridge or setee cos the window at the back is fixed. With the surf the 'boot' is behind the back seats which you can lay flat and get a fuckinng great wardrobe in if you want, down side is you need a dog guard to separate the back and you cant keep that wet dog ferrety smell away....so ther you have my (humble) opinion
