scottishlass 57 Posted April 29, 2008 Report Share Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) just been to the vet with the hubbys working collie, last night when he was fed he was a little lame on one back foot , the dog had caught it on the new quad bike as he jumped of that day so we just thought he would need a couple of days of to let it settle but were we wrong,hubby checked on him this morning and it was a little swollen so left him to have some rest ,he went back and checked later on and it had doubled in size so phoned the vet and took him down. The dog is fine apart from carrying his swollen leg ,wagging his tail trying to pee up the vets walls,vet took his temp 107 he should have been very unwell with that We found a bit on his hock that could have been a bite or it could have been the quad bike even the vets not sure so came home with a bag of pills noroclav,marbocyl, Next stage is to take his temp tomorrow if it stays up its back to the vets if it comes down its good news It only happens to the best dogs Edited April 29, 2008 by scottishlass Quote Link to post Share on other sites
