stone-cold 0 Posted April 27, 2008 Report Share Posted April 27, 2008 as much as i like gsd dogs,i wouldnt get one for hunting purposes,there too big and arent bred for it,before anyone starts ive had 2 in my life time and he did chase rabbits and catch and kill em,better off leaving them to what they do best,guard dog/police dog Quote Link to post

stone-cold 0 Posted April 27, 2008 Report Share Posted April 27, 2008 as much as i like gsd dogs,i wouldnt get one for hunting purposes,there too big and arent bred for it,before anyone starts ive had 2 in my life time and he did chase rabbits and catch and kill em,better off leaving them to what they do best,guard dog/police dog i'd have to agree...wouldn't get one for hunting....but they are crackers absolutely,they are cracking dogs but i find they are prone to problems,hips/backs,my first one had a tumour and died aged 7,my second and best one got diagnosed with leukaemia and i had no choice but to have him put down rather than let him suffer with injections to keep him going(one piece of advice from a shit vet with shit for brains)he was only 17 months. heartbreaking,great dogs but get a dog bred for the purpose Quote Link to post
