fireman 11,385
Yes but careful where you get them if wild ones as secondry poisoning could happen if getting them from a farm, etc that has poison down.I feed my ferrets the rats my terriers kill, although i won't feed them old scabby ones just clean looking ones and i've fed them rats since they were young and never had a problem.Shop bought ones will end up costing you quite a bit in the long run, either hunt them or breed them yourselves. Guest Ditch_Shitter
As I remember, it was some perfectly 'clean and healthy' looking rats which gave me Weils Disease and sent my entire system into free fall crash till my survival was pronounced a " Miracle ". My advice would be to hunt and destroy rats when and where ever ye find them, if ye feel such an urge. Fine. Only Always wear gloves and dispose of their diseased little bodies in a timely and proper manner. Have a good, hot fire or else dig a deep hole. The moment ye start carting the things about with ye, you're on that same path which led me to the very gates of hell all those years back. I've had a f*cking long time to think about all that. I know well of which I speak. Brian Plummer may well have fed rats to his ferrets. Brian Plummer was a f*cking idiot. So was I. Please listen to an idiot who's learned the hard way and so reformed himself. Not to those who'd advise ye to do something incredibly stupid, just off the tops of their heads. And as for those who'll tell ye, " I've done it for years - no problem! " ; So had I. It didn't happen to me the first time out. But it happened. Don't even expose yeself to the Risk of it happening to you. That's my advice. Quote Link to post

Guest timeout
I can relate to that ditch. My grandad who i never met died from weils disease.Mind you that was a few year ago. suppose medicalk science has come on loads since then.I remember my gran saying he died a death they wouldnt have let an animal suffer like he did.Dunno if thats the reason i despise them so much (also secretly terrified of them).Im glad you pulled through cz your posts are very imformative Quote Link to post
