dont know where you are in the country and i havent fished proper for a good few years but used to fish a place called navi,s pits in wigston leicester..various ponds and pits some old some new,had several cat fish out of there my biggest were just 16 lb which is nothing to whats in there i met a few cat fish specialists down there on occasion some spending 3 to 4 days/nights at a time just out for the cat fish.

i dont have the number but the owners name was boney a tackle shop owner also...

might be worth looking into if you can get the number

fished a place called stubbs hall fisherys last year hooked one but it snaped me off on 15 lb line it was like a meter away from the bank

Willow Bank Fisheries, Kirton Lindsey lincolnshire, just off the A15 between lincoln and scunthrope! really nice place and frendly baliffes, who are more then happy to help and chat come to that! google it and you'l see it mentioned on several sites, i mangaed to catch my PB pike ther of 21lbs 8oz while fishing for the cats!
