bigbulls 26
So far so good! I picked the springs up at the Westcountry GF, i think they were 75p each. The timber came to roughly £5 and the chicken wire was left over from a job, so cheap (like a budgie). It was a great help having the "making a larsen trap" directions to look at on this section Quote Link to post

Guest Ditch_Shitter
still not caught any in mine operator error Vicious b*stards! I'd suggest to fine tune that though, JB. How about possible " Operator Distraction " ? (There. That was the best a quick drag and a think could come up with, at this time of day!) Fact is; I've had my own, tried and tested, trap out 'For Ever' now. Haven't had a damn look in! Why? Simple: I caught all That patches mag's and grays last year. They don't come near there any more. So I should move it - eh, Stubbs? - Yeah. Like I Should do this and do that and ..... but the days aren't That long yet and ... I'm repainting mine now. It's stood in the compound whilst I look for time to figure where best to put it, once it's rennovated. No rush. They fledge? I'll take the young and use them to draw the whole damn family. May even try to keep a baby or two for next year Fact is that one well used Larsen can benefit a spot a whole lot better than No Larsen. For years. But we have to get them out there, people Bigbulls: What's the story behind the jay and the jack there, mate? Quote Link to post
stubby 175
in my defence, mines not sited in a field, its on top of the ferret run, just to see if it works, and I still have faith it will, we have lots of maggies coming into the garden to pinch odd bits of rabbit left out for the rurual/urban fox, but as ditch say's, there's not enough hours in a day, what with trying to assemble a concrete garage, tend to the ferts, plus the 101 other things you have to do, I keep walking past it and thinking, I'll make a mock nest in there, with a few chickens egg's, maybe this weekend Quote Link to post
bigbulls 26
Bigbulls: What's the story behind the jay and the jack there, mate? First thing in the trap was a Jay that went in for a bit of brown bread, Next day, another Jay, so i put the pair in the call bird side of the trap, next day, two jack's!!?? "Tis TM" took the pic just before i organised the inmates. Iv now got a Jay and a Jack in as call birds and am just fitting the wire to my second trap, iv got the larsen bug i think!!
