phil wright 2
tonight my terrier bolted a fox after an hour to ground.the two lurchers coursed up and down the field and up the beckside.i lost sight of them but heard a scream from one of the dogs,as i got there they had the fox in a bush but it got away.they chased it again but never got near.im fairly sure they let it go when it bit back.ill not know for sure untill next time..........i couldnt look at them after id cleaned up the terrier and stuck him under a heat lamp. im gutted.....i thought i had two fox dogs but now i think i have two that wont even do it doubled up........ phil wright 2
theyll both get chance to prove themselves, the terrier that bolted the fox was first dug to last may........when the hunt terrierman broke through he told me red didnt want to tackle it again.i remember feeling disappointed but a week later he phoned to tell me red had killed a fox.he hasnt looked back since. so i know they could come good yet.thanks for the encouragment.......i need it....
