Out shooting rabbits the other day and shot one with a good neat headshot. Next thing I know another one comes along, gives the dead one a sniff, gets on top and starts humping it!

 

Couldn't quite believe my eyes and feel a bit guilty for shooting him before he had finished. I guess sex was the last thing on his mind, apart from the bullet that is.

Had the same happen to me a couple of nights ago. Dropped a Doe, then less than 2 mins later, out pops a buck, sniffs at her, then started humping her. He too died happy!

 

Presmuably ferrimones or whatever that drive their behaviour.
