Guest lurchers&terriers
i was haveing conversations yesterday with two differant people at differant times and all they could do was slag off other peoples dogs and the one guy has never even seen any dogs work other than his own but he goes by what he hears It just does my head in that people need to slag dogs off to make them selfs feel good or to make out there dogs are world class but at the end of the day a dogs a dog and can only hunt whats there to hunt. For me my terriers do there job but are not good or not bad they just do there job and my lurcher does what i ask of him he is not good or not bad. When someone tells be joe blogs dog is shit i just think your talking shit and what do you mean by shit??? . I dont judge people unless i meat them, (used to but iv grown up lol) and i never judge a dog unless its 100% jacked then i will advise the owner to get rid but will never slag that dog to anyone else. Why do people need to do this/ it seems thats all some even talk about
gnasher16 30,880
Everybody sets their own standards....no matter who the person or what the dog at the end of the day the only person a dog needs to please is its owner and if the owners pleased with his dog its a good dog.....nobody is happy with a dog that cant or wont do the job we expect it to do.....but if we set our standards very high their is going to be more " shit " dogs than good dogs...if our standards are very low there will be more "good " and "great " dogs talked about......so naturally we can only judge a dog by our own standards which may be very different to somebody elses.....1 man may have seen 50 great dogs, another man may have seen the same 50 dogs but only seen 5 great dogs.....some people will call a dog " shit " because it makes their own standards appear higher giving the impression they have better dogs......just different standards and self honesty is the key.
