Guest Ditch_Shitter
Don't know where Tulsk is. But I'm about as far north as it gets and if he's far enough south for his reputation to be notable in travelling ..... Methinks he might be out of my realistic range! Anyway, I'm sensing that this Thread is now veering a little too close to a mantra about back stops. So I'd just like to put an end to all that by reitterating that I'm not considering BT's for that reason. If I hit something side on, even with a 500 yard square block of concrete behind it, I simply don't want that block smothered in guts. It's as simple as that. I've actually fired my HP's into quite enough bodies now to have gained a pretty certain perception that, when shot face on, the round stays in there. I've found this to be the case at varying ranges too. I like that. However, were I to find a round which could do that, and yet impart even more body shock? I'd like that all the more. This is the key to my thinking, see? 'Massive systemic shock = Dead and down target ~ Fast'. So, as long as these BT's aren't given to - or even designed for - producing a shower of shit on the other side of the target, I'd like to give them a try. K? Might as well leave it there as I already feel I've just had to repeat myself. Unless of course anyone else would just like to mention back stops again, for their own amusement, perhaps? Not checked a map but I think Tulsk is between Roscommon Town and Ballahaderrin (spelling...). Oh and check out that PM I sent you Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
Ballistic tip ammo expands about as quickly as possible, so it's the best idea for stopping exit wounds. Fox vs 223 will always result in an exit wound, 223 carries nigh-on twice the grunt of Hornet. Everyone I know who has used ballistic tip 22 Hornet says the fox in question had no exit but the innards were just mush, at least they sounded like it. Quote Link to post
