SportingShooter 0
Has anyone on here eaten one, they are delicious and the best duck ive ever eaten, i think they are disguised as Gressingham or something. If you get a chance try one you wont be disappointed, am thinking of getting a few to fatten for Christman later on in the summer. Thanks ss06

(My neighbour keeps both and they're all bloody tasty!)

(My neighbour keeps both and they're all bloody tasty!) Yeah, i had fun trying to catch the one i ate without having a duck beak shaped hole in my hands and legs. Next time i think ill shoot the damn thing. .410's are a very valuable tool. Nice to know where the different breeds come from, the nastiest animal i have ever come across in the UK was a goose that had to be seperated from the rest of the flock, every time you went to feed it, youd feel a sharp stabbing pain in the back of the leg. Tis TM 8
Funnily enough, we ate the last of our muscovey ducks on Sunday! They were about 6 motnhs old, and had been free ranged outside till the last 6 - 8 weeks. I bought them in the stable to pig out and get a better fat covering on them. They were amazingly delish! The breast meat has a texture not dissimilar to a firm pate! I'm deffinatley going to be rearing this years 'lings for meat
