DEAD SHEEP

Recommended Posts

I was out ratchin for a dig today and thought Id check a new wood... maybe an acre in size.

I couldnt believe how many dead sheep were scaterd about....27 skulls in total ( I forced the young lad with us to tally)

ranging from 1 with meat on the bone and a couple rotting fleeces.

Strange number any day of the week but bout 20 of em were rams!!!

Anyone got any ideas?

Oh and 1 three hole earth that wasnt being used lately. :hmm::hmm::hmm:

My land is a sheep farm & we find a least 2 dead sheep every summer. We always notify the landowner, however we do see the odd skull around but he removes dead sheep asap on the quad so the foxes don,t get comfortable with a free meal...

sheep die and this time of year they live to die lol the rams are f****d they have spent the last months knocking shit out of each other and riding ewes ,then you get the ewes that have been fed the best for weeks only to keel over and die before they lamb lol sheep are all out to die :clapper:

Was out last year and come across two dead sheep within 15 minutes all skin and fur still attached again once in very small hedgelined wooded area.

No sign off blood on one side but didnt wanna touch or move to see the other side as it was absolutley stinking. So got on the blower to the farmer and

he came straight down chucked em in the back of the defender.

Possible death of natural causes i thought... but then i dont know f**k all about sheep.

Maybe one big conspiracy.

I'm a sheep farmer, and that f*****g situation doesn't sound good any which way you look at it. I won't jump to conclusions about how they died or why they're there but I wouldn't have it on my farm.

you may all take the lag but me and my pal did see a big cat no more than 50 yards away a few year back but this was 20 mile away.

i was guttin a rabbit at the top of a wood valley when the whipered conversation went something like this...

"psst pssssst"

"wat"

"mike wat the :censored: is that"

" :censored::censored: dont move"

the cat or dark coloured beast or whatever it was, worked its way up the bank 50-80 yrds away sniffing and looking at us. forgot to say that stubby was holding a .22 97karbine and i had a 2inch penknife

"dont you :censored: dare stubby!!!" - not just cos he couldnt hit a cows arse

at that point we legged it leaving the gun (am sure he ran first but he still wont admit it lol).

3 of us went back the next day with 2 bull crosses and a machette but nothing but a airgun n no rabbit to be seen.

the dogs wernt even that keen, probably cos theyd never scented it before?

where do these cats sleep??

we seen the beast at dusk in summer, are they night hunters?

anyone actualy tried to catch one?

its not that strange mate when i was about 15 me and a mate were takin a short cut through the woods and just as i got out the other side about 200 yds away we spotted what looked like an over sized black moggy, but when we had a better look it was definatly no domestic moggy!!

but as soon as it seen us it was off. i have heard of a few sightings of a big black cat like animal around the same area. would not like to bump into one any closer lol
