At the range

Recommended Posts

I was at the local spot we you to test bullets today, and was doing a test on bullets i've been waiting to chrony for a while. now i know they are accurate but shooting the first couple through the chrony i knew something was amiss.

Thought it might be the wind as there was aslight breeze blowing, but then the group opened up. checked the mod was tight, then notice the back base of the mount was loose :censored:

So drove home tightend the base, and drove back, only got a few fired but the bullets were hiting 4 inches to the right, but thankfully elevation is still spot on.

So just ready for a calm day to get things sorted again. Can't figure out how this happened, but thought i'd share it with ye.

No need for the brick wall response, it was a tongue in cheek comment! Maybe even chewing gum.

Bye the way super glue and Loctite do work, if you no what you are doing, they are a great way to keep screws in place, if you don't like it, don't do it.

On a serious note, super glue or loctite on the screw heads Snap Shot, you are probably already aware of this.

Done it with military rifles in particular which get knocked around fairly well.

I didn't actually mean gluing the base to the reciever, but using it to fasten the screws in place, yes, it can make them hard to get out, but they will come out but will not work loose, loctite is perfect.
