Kay 3,709
What a joke! If I done that I'd be banged up for a stretch, and I'd have to pay back a whole lot more than a pound. Some mates of mine got a £4,000 overpayment of tax credits over a period of a few years. Not only have they stopped paying them, even though they're on the bones of their arses, he's even getting a certain amount stopped from his wages every week. I think his problem is that he's white & he was born in the UK. That happened to me over bloody tax credit i had to estimate how much my husband would earn as self emplyed , as he was newly self employed i hadnt got a clue, so they basically made me pluck a figure out of thin air & you geseed it i under esitmated it, so they stopped our working tax credit payment & now tax me at 22% on my earnings , i wouldnt mind but i only earn 50 quid a week anyway They sent me letters saying they were taking me to court , but i shredded them & used it for ferret bedding f**k em they can wait for the money now
T78 4
well,i was recently made unemployed and went to sign on.we've recently had our first son and so my girlfriend is on maternity leave. when i went to sign on,i was told i couldnt as our household had "too much income"! that'd be £102 a wk for 3 of us to survive on!! they even sent me a letter which outlined how much per person "the law states you need to live on" £85 for two adults. the funny thing was on the itemised list of how much you need to live on is a section for a child. next to it is the ammount you need for a child....... £0.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i kid you not! and when you hear like this it's a tad annoying! ive lived here all my life,so has my missus and neither of us has ever claimed benefits(apart from the maternity pay, which isn't exactly benefit as she's still employed) and yet when we need to, we get the finger!
