SharpShooter14 0
Been on a few hunting outtings and i've realised that resting my rifle on a rucksack isn't bery practical. So was thinking of putting a Harris on my rifle. Do you think there is enough 'meat' at the end to screw in a QD stud. And also, what are the possibilities of the stock cracking - has this ever happened to anyone? Also, the guy in the shop said a company custom made and fitted a stud that fit into the front screw under the cyclinder but i can't seem to find them - any help? Thanks Quote Link to post
bill88 6
I had a screw in qd stud on my Daystate, never had a prob but i wasn't totally sure of its strength.I bought a threaded qd stud, and fitted that. The job was relatively straightforward,i drilled a 4mm hole all the way through, and then countersunk the nut on the chamber side making absolutely sure there was none of the thread or nut sitting proud. theobenmike 0
I'm not sure if anyone makes these for the HW100's but I have a bottle clamp from "Dr Bob" on the bbs, £24.50 delivered next day. It saves drilling your stock and on the rapids it allows you to mount your bipod further forward. He does two sizes for the different sized bottles on the rapids, so I know it's a long shot but one of them may fit your HW100. Send him a PM with a measurement of your cylinder diameter and he may well be able to help Quote Link to post
C3PO 118
@ theoben Mike: it wouldn't really work on an HW100 because of the power gauge ... but Dr Bob's bottle clamp works superb on my Rapid too. I have a Harris bipod fitted to the HW100 using a standard QD stud and it fits fine with no problems. Quote Link to post
