ytrewq 2
Took a trip to Cornwall with Hedgey to visit MArk and get some Cornish ferreting in before the baby rabbits make life hard work....Got over their a little later than intended,......hedgey was tired and had a lay in ........but we had all day to go and after a swift coffee, got to getting the longnets up and the ferrets down Well it was a slower than expected start,........the rabbits wouldnt bolt and no sooner had they touched the longnets, they were in reverse gear and out.....back down the holes...Even the dogs didnt have enough time to close in on them.... Anyway, after a couple of rabbits, we moved hedges and the rabbits were a little bit more at ease with bolting...........Even Hedgeys hemp net was able to catch the odd bunny withour letting it go!!!! After that we moved on to some open ground......there must have been about 30 rabbits in the field, midday....that we were about to work.....most hit the dense cover, but we thought we'd try the open buries / play holes. Well a few decent bolts....rabbits in the bag and a quick dig.....perfectly executed by the resident gardener amongst the team of ferreters.....lol.....just to get a ferret out of a nest of babes. Once finished in this field.....we hit the caravan park and took another 6 quick and easy rabbits as the light was drawing in... The dogs kept goin all day, Marks Lady proved good around the longnets considering she had never seen them before.....and Tia spent most of the day licking her feet after the baby stingers started to piss her off. Hedgeys two Lame curs came along for some spectator sport.....as did hedgey come to think of it...lol There a few pics to account for the day.....not many action ones....but thats what happens when you give the camera to an old techno-phobe. Still, got a few shots of the hemp longnet Cheers Mark, once again your hospitality was second to none, I'll be over when that moon has finally fecked off Lady and Mark...rady to go Tia on her vantage point Strange man watching his net Why stand when you can chill... BINGO!!!!! Angry man telling me his net is best fine retrieve Look at those front feet Cornish post card shot Sour faced Nice pair the skill of this earth removal was a joy to watch All that for a fecking ferret and a rabbits nest Work of art Hedgey's ring shot Well thats the ferret where it shouldnt be!!!......Marks off on one!!! Bit of exercise Might as well join him! Result! Snagged Well snagged! The only action shot..... Well.....at least he can carry Game Always coming up the rear.....lol One well built bunny snatcher Last warren of the day.....still focused She pulled two from this hole.....good lass Can we fecking go home now or what.......???? EoD shot.....once i was back home For those who like to count....lol....TOMO and crew Cheers Mark and Hedgey cracking pics.[bANNED TEXT] is the breeding is the brindle? Quote Link to post
