BlueCoyote 0
when i was a kid i had a wart on my back - of all places. a friend of the family taped a copper penny over the wart and the next day the wart was gone.. i was only four or five years old at the time but i remember that and thought it was magic but come to find out, after a bit of reading this morning, that copper has been used for centuries to heal all sorts of problems! the only thing i've ever used copper pennies for - besides small change - is to keep the algae out of my fish tanks.. so here is the reading i've done so far http://www.time4me.com/theme/newage/crystals/5.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copper_healing - i dont really trust wiki .. soo.... take that with a grain of salt i suppose. http://www.jewelrysupplier.com/2_copper/copper_healing.htm of course some say its a placebo... maybe thats true. but as a kid i didnt know what a placebo was, and really didnt want that penny taped to my back ... but with my fish tanks... well it certainly wasnt little fairies scrubbing the green junk off the glass while i was sleeping.. SOMETHING was keeping it away and all i had in the tank besides the pennies was a couple of fish and.. water. anyone ever hear of this or is it common knowledge and i've just been living under a rock for the past 20 years? and any other odd-ball healing things anyone would like to share would be interesting too. BlueCoyote 0
that too.. my mom gashed her hand badly and the antibiotics from the pharmacy werent healing it - thought it WOULD have healed fine if she had kept her stitches dry like she was supposed to.... anyway infection set in and she couldnt afford the antibiotics to heal THAT... my dad is a bee keeper so we get as much honey as we want.. so i helped my mom dress her hand with honey and bandages. it healed nice and quick and no more problems with it
macberran 2
This works every time, if you burn yourself run it in as hot water as you can bear, keep it as long as you can......no blisters just a fait mark. I burnt my arm almost like a brand. My old friend put a cup of hot brandy and water on it ,I cursed and squirmed and she held on, Next day I should have been hurting......just a pink mark for about 3 days nothing else,no discomfort at all. Now she used the brandy cause off the severity of the burn but she says any scalding and get the hot water on it. The blister happens too protect the hot skin underneath, draw the heat out and no need. I know but it works.....treating like with like.

AIRGUNNER 1
I once had a wart on my finger tried every think from creams even the old wives tell where they say rub it with bacon then burry it and dont tell anyone where you burried it to, But nothing worked. Then happened to go swimming down Dawlish Warren in the sea, then each day after that is was slowing going down then woke up one morning and it completely disappeared. BlueCoyote 0
i'm not sure what warts are made or what causes them rather.. a fungus right? i only had the one all those years ago lol if its a fungus then that makes it... a plant.. right? sort of - but plants dont like salt so maybe the sea water helped to do the trick? one of my cousins sons has a problem with warts.. she warned me AFTER i agreed to babysit them. he's on some sort of medication for it and supposedly its contagious... Macberren i dont know if i could do that with the hot water on a burn. i am a first class wimp! my husband however had a huge scald on his wrist from a faulty radiator cap.. i wish i had known that back then. would have saved him a ton of pain and made him a lot more easier to live with!
