Friday dinnertime I met up with Cragman went back to his place had a brew and waited for Baldie we all piled into the cragwagon and made our way to the lakes got some tea and found the B&B. After a freshen up we went to the Queens for the mayor making ceremony which was a good do, we had hotpot, a slide show, horn blowing comp, raffles and right good piss up all in aid of the Conniston. I was made to feel very welcome and thoroughly emjoyed the whole evening. I got to meet Fellmesser, Rob Sharpe and a few other lads off here and we had 'the craic'

Woke up Saturday morning feeling right as rain and ready to tackle the Fells. Cragman, Baldie and myself made our way down to the Queens again for the Mayors meet and the weather had taken a turn for the worse thick fog had come in and rain was bashing down too but this by no means dampened any spirits.

We took hounds away and had a quick ratch around

By dinnertime they'd packed in and we made our way back to Cragmans for tea and a warm up that evening we went out for a shine around but there was nothing around. Sunday morning we were up at first light and waiting for the Pennine hounds and what a treat that was as we walked the grouse moors with the hounds I saw plenty of mountain Hares which was great as I've not seen them before. These hounds work hard and have to tackle tough terrain. The scenery was breathtaking and Cragman is very lucky to live, work and play in this area.

Sunday afternoon saw us out with the smoker and terriers for a bit of pest control on a farm

Sunday night we ventured out with the rifle and lamp and caught a glimpse of charlie but couldn't get a shot in but he's been harboured now so his time will come

Monday morning and we went ferreting and had a dig on some of Cragmans vast permission.
