our jack russel gets on great with my ferts, simply get yourself some ferret malt paste from the pet shop, ferrets love it, so do dogs, with the ferret/s in cage, stick some on your finger, through the bars letting the ferts lick it off, then some to the pup, pretty soon you'll have the ferts one side of wire, pup the other both licking at same time, over a period of time, get the ferrets out of cage and do the paste again, our jack now loves the ferrets, as she knows when theres ferrets about, she'll either get the paste, or rabbit

Thats a good reply stubby

My patterdale isn't keen on my ferrets at all, she got bitten off one as a small pup and hasn't forgotten the incident  She came ferreting with me a few weeks back and confirmed my fears by marking the sets where the ferrets were put in, she didn't attack the ferrets but that was due to the fact that I was right next to her the whole time while she was off the lead. I've got a lot more work to do with her and I'm not confident of any future success :hmm: My Lakeland x on the other hand is more steady with ferrets but she didn't get bitten as a small pup. Good luck
