russian sniper 0
Hi have been up the farm trying to clear up the foxes early before the lambing season starts! Managed to get the first vixen last monday night, squeaked it in to 70yds. Dropped it with a shot to the chest with the 22-250. Then due to work i couldn't get out until last sunday night. I squeaked another fox to around 100yds when it started to get nervous! Another chest shot and that was the 2nd fox of the week in the bag! Thats the first time i'd had 2 foxes in the same week and i was well chipper! Would love to be able to get out foxing more, but work comes first!! As i go shooting foxes on my own i have to get the pics the next morning as trying to take pics at night with a lamp is a nightmare!! Guest JohnGalway
Well done Daz. I take most of my photos at night with my camera phoen under the lamp. Problems start if you shine the lamp directly on the fox, it'll wash out the photo. I play around with the halo of the light and find that when the fox is illuminated with the halo it's much easier. Also, if you can reflect the light off another object onto the fox, like a fence post or rock or vehicle it'll work extremely well. Quote Link to post

Deker 3,491
Great work! I'm having a mare of it Fox wise at the moment, already got 7 this year (6 in January) BUT went out Tuesday night and MISSED 3 out of 3 with my .223 between about -150yards. Mad as hell, went out Wednesday, waited as long as possible for the mist to clear, and checked the zero, spot on! Out last night to get me some Charlie and didn't see a single one! I got over it though! Quote Link to post
