sounder 9 Posted February 18, 2008 Report Share Posted February 18, 2008 the girl next door ask me if i look in he shed to see is there was a rat.so in for the ferret and let him mooch about the shed after afew mins a rat showed at the door bang...missed him with the brush the ferret showed and back in there was much noise in the corner the the rat showed again bang again right on the head the ferret spent about 5 mins up and down that shed no sign of any other rat. abit of fun and a run for the ferret ,and a happy neighbour, cheers sounder Quote Link to post

stubby 175 Posted February 19, 2008 Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 they would either be tunneling in through the floor, or getting in a gap, what size wire did you use, as already stated unless you can keep the floor free of spilt seed, then your going to get rats, I'd suggest getting yourself a few mk4 fenn traps, look on the trapping section for places to buy, and best methods of setting them, build tunnels either from wood or brick/slate, to hide the traps inside, stops next doors moggy getting caught, and re build your avairy, would suggest you steer clear of poisons, as unless you know what your doing, you could get into all sorts of trouble Quote Link to post
