shina 17 Posted February 17, 2008 Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 just got a new dog 2weeks ago and the neighbours are saying it howles at night shes 18month old and only now and then she lets out ive put the hammer on her so to speak but shes becomming a bit shy of me and i dont want that. had this problem with pups but soon sorted it out any advise would be great. cheers shina Quote Link to post
forest of dean redneck 12,023 Posted February 17, 2008 Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 i had the same prob and luckily my neighbours are slightly tolerant,as most only jokingly mention it.have you tried walking them for a bit at around 10/11 pm then feeding them at night instead at daytime as a full belly may calm it down or try getting hold of raw meaty bones and letting dog chew on that ,keeping it occupied.i made the mistake years ago of hitting a dog [deerhoundx] that howled through the night it made its recall shite and soon as you get back to bed it would start again defeating the object.all the best.
