SNAP SHOT 194
Saw 3 foxes in the area close to the field in question, i started out early as this is now the time when they are seen in the area in question. We took a snoop around our local shooting spots but to no avail, the moon was fairly bright last night and any of the foxes we saw where very lamp shy, Comming no closer than around 600 yards, So no joy, drove of the killing field as we call it, And nesteled in a clump of dying ferns we saw eyes, So out we pop and i set up the rifle and lamp range is 437 yards, As the light goes on the fox walks sideways across the line of the field, i can only see glimpses of him through the cover but the backstop is excellent, So safety off following him through the cover His coat of red is perfect camo, within the dying ferns, We try to get him to stop for a second or more but he has something else on his mind, heading over over a bank then we don't see him, it's all over for the night at least, No joy but hey isn't it a challange, Anf i think i'll pay the field a visit tonight....
