Plenty of marks and good trailing today

So was out local today. In the first field we hit Floyd was marking a small bunch of briars and a rat bolted over to another small briar and into a hole. Terrier started scratching and he bolted again and Zara got him. Had plenty of marks all day, got few more rats, some of the marks were hard enough digging. Missed a few bolters though and 1 rat gave me the slip twice. Bolted from one hole into another then bolted again into a big mound of holes so I gave him best. Got good 10/15 in thick cover after a cotton tail and some good trailing after big ears. Few birds flushed too. Think I'd 4 rats shook by end of day. Bit of drizzle rain this morning but then turned a nice sunny but cold day in the fields.
