bit of a story.....

i popped round my mates house for a bit of a catch up as we hadn`t seen each other for a couple three weeks....turns out his car had broken down with a split power steering hose, he`s been on the phone for a price for a new one which he told me was $300 bucks delivered....i said yeh right your kidding me...

i said, no, you can get them much cheaper than that...ask your son to have a look online for a better price....there was a bit of a pause before he answered....he said the thing is, my son won`t help me with his cars....he thinks i should buy a new car every 3 years, which he couldn`t afford to do (my mates retired) and is 84 years old....but a fit older man.....

now...his son, has done really well for himself all off his own back, had nothing growing up, is a self made multi millionaire and when he retires he will get another 2-3 million.....

so he sat his son down and reminded him of all the times his dad repaired his car so he could get to work when he was younger and how to mend/replace parts for himself.....but that doesn`t enter the guys head....i said what a shame....he`s lost his roots from growing up, but they get on really well.....i have talked to his son but he puts me in the same bracket as his dad as i repair/mend everything i can......

anyway....i told him when i get back home i will have a look on line, i found him one for $68 bucks plus free delivery.....he was over the moon when i told him...i`ll probably give him a hand fitting on if he wants....
