johnny4 0 Posted November 18, 2005 Report Share Posted November 18, 2005 just had a problem with deben i got 2 sets of batterys + lamps for a mate and me 7 month ago and only used my batterys 5 times and 2 of them the battery went flat within 30 mins so was told to sent them back to deben for them to have a look and now they said they will not replace them even they or faulty rang arthur carter who going to solve it but i wouldent buy direct from deben as i talked to the manger and he said it says in the back of instruction batterys or not covered but ive got warranty card and it says nothing about batterys not been covered anyone 1 had this problem johnny Quote Link to post Share on other sites
mark.a 0 Posted November 18, 2005 Report Share Posted November 18, 2005 Used to sell lamping batterys myself about five years ago, about 1 in 30 came back as a duffer ,which I replaced straight away, as I was making good money on them.Apparently its a normal occurence. Generally batteries of this type are only covered by the sales protection act which means they are of merchantable quality and fit for use for 30 days only, but in your case it should have stated that on the guarentee.
