Wolfdog91 7,869
So, last two generations of my family are / where teacher. Grand parents, parents, heck my fiance teaches pre K. Hell my mom actually retired after 25yr ....got bored after a years and started back at a private school because again...she was bored and said she missed it my little brother who's a music major actually teaches music as at a few after school programs and church's and he's only 19. Never really had much interest in teaching like in a school though. That being said every since I got a lil bit more well off in life , not crazy or anything but Im decently comfortable with a bit more free time. Found out I actually really love , well I don't want to say teaching because I feel like a bit of a dumbass in general but showing folks the ropes. I'm around a lot of people who if you saw them you'd never thought they would have the slightest interest is hunting or fishing or whatever, seriously due to most of my non outdoor hobbies and interests a large majority of people im around don't come off as very.. outdoorsy , crazy color hair, piercing, tattoos ,but man most usually want to to try this stuff but never had the opportunity, they have a bit of a problem grasping an idea and most of the people who tried to teach them weren't very patient, heck or they don't know who to go to or were to start and here I am . So we'll be hanging I'll hear them say something about wanting to try fishing , cool I got like 10 different pond and like 30 extra rods and tackle, throw on some shoes let's go. Think hawks are cool animals and want to see one in the wild ? Shit fire there's a few round the farm hop in the car ! Think archery is cool ? I got a few bows a target and a front yard let's get you on and the looks on there faces when they get to, they catch fish for the first time hit a target or actually get out the house and see these critters ( I've had some want to go with me hunting to just see the animals and get the experience) they think is so cool theres something about it I just love. And I tell my parents about it and they just smile at me and nod in that way parents do when your going though what they did Was able to let some friends try out a few of my rigs yesterday. Mine aren't crazy bench rest guns , just budget rifles with aftermarket stock, slightly better scopes , hand loads , still sub $900 set ups usually. About no one ever made a first round impact on something past 100yd on anything bigger then a 5gal bucket. Got a little 6"x12 Gopher target , put him out at 200yd got them all adjusted to the rifles , moving the cheek riser, bipod, scope setting , rear bag and all that and boom first round impacts again and again and again just seeing everything "click " in there head and here then say how awesome it is to be able to do that and stay in the scope and all . Man it's a great feeling. Had about a 95% hit percentage till we got to the AR's and the recoil impulse threw them all off a bit but kept a good 80% across the board lol. Idk mabye this teaching stuff is just in my blood.
