Dog insurance

Recommended Posts

I wrote on here a while ago about a border collie that I have had for four years well the lady that I brought him off had had another pup from the litter before George with epilepsy so you ask yourself why did she keep on breeding {money I guess says it all I guess} anyway the fact is that he had a bad fit the other day and I had to have him put to sleep on Sunday night.

George was the only collie that I have owned that thought he was a terrier he would go into any cover and flush any game he would mark rabbit bury just as good as my terrier Poppy so as you can imagine I am a bit on the gutted side which leads me onto the question of can any body point me in the direction of a company in the uk that does multipule working dog insurance.

As living on a limited income I feel that it would be best to budget for a lump sum each year than to have bills flying in all over the place yes we do the basics as we all do but I can't help thinkin that if I had insurance up and running when George was a pup then may be this would of had a bit of a different out come.

Anyway you may think me a big softy but belive me you had to meet him to understand.

RIP Mr G

Sorry to hear about George , thats sad news :( i dont know about the insurence question you asked though sorry

hi i can certainly tell you about insurance......i have been with most companies over 30 or so years and for the last 10 I have stayed with Pet Plan and can say they are excellent. They have paid out every single time without fuss and promptly. They continue to cover the same illness over the dogs lifetima and not just stop after 12 months of claims like most others :censored: and of course they also cover you for other things such as 3rd party liability which IMO is essential in these litigious times :wallbash:

as for breeding from a known fitter and carrier, well that is truly appalling and they want locking up :censored:
