foxdropper 17,092 Posted June 25, 2023 Report Share Posted June 25, 2023 First time this year on the estate lake .Arrived at 0500 but not early enough .The deep water pegs were all taken so the bay it was . Set up a light feeder rig as the water is only 5 foot or so and the cast to the hotspot only 30 yards .I was hoping to drop on tge bream straight away but a long ,long stream of bits ,mostly rudd ,few skimmers and hybrid roach x rudd . No matter what I put on ,4 worms ,bunch of maggots ,triple sweet corn or pellet it was sliver fish for two hours on a size 8 barbless . Eventually the bream moved in ,right in the heat of midday and I had a run of 8 slabs and a tench . Packed up at 2 as the heat was pretty intense out on a stage with no way of keeping a brolly steady and no natural shade . 12 1 Quote Link to post
