ive had 6 foxs in the same hole in the past 3 months i checked it every month and there was a pair in it ive dug 4 of them 2 bolted and got away.i was supprised it had never happend to me before.

not trying to teach you to suck eggs but your fox may not be using your earth that you have been looking at.this time of year foxes clean out and mark up potential cubbing earths sometimes they will never use it keep an eye on it every couple of weeks who knows maybe one day it will hold some earths you can go to pretty often and strike lucky and some you will dig once and then never again that the nature of the beast best of luck though chucky

How long do you normally leave an earth after trying it? Theres a lovely earth a few miles from my house that hasnt held in 2 seasons as everyone in the town was trying it everyweek  Its got to a case where everyone thinks its already been done so no one bothers going to it anymore, Anyway about 3 weeks back I was near it and decided to check it.. The dog flew to ground and it was absolutely stink of a fox but nothing at home  Was up near it again sunday and again it was stink of a fox and cleaned out but nothing at home  How long would you leave it before trying it again?

every case scenario is different i like to leave them six weeks between checking but if its one of them earths that is known you can gurantee that on the fith week someone else will get lucky just check when passing and if the weather is particuarly nasty have a nosey just get there early
