Hi ste*,theres been many threads on this subject have you done a search on this forum?I own the MK3 meself & i find it does its job,a few lads have had problems with collars coming off.I owned a MK1 in the mid 80,s what i can remember it also did its job no problem.... :thumbs:

put a leather collar on the collar you have got or put a few extra holes in the collar you have :D

which one do you prefer and why?

I suppose the MK3 moving with the times but if you get the 1 or 3 they,ll do the job.I only use mine to find the fert in the burrow after 45mins or so, i aint no fan of digging :icon_eek: but i would as a last resort ie fading daylight, for me there a confidence thing knowing my fert(s) are still in the burrow & have,nt slipped away quitely... :o

I've only ever had the mk3 and find it easy to use, if a little noisy. I had a few problems with collars coming off when I first used it, but I just put a few more holes in them with a hot needle to sort it.

Mk1s are getting harder to come by, e-bay is probanly the best place to look.

dont sell them any more :no: because deben dont make them any more . :thumbs:

I managed to get one in my local gun shop but I must say it was the only one. edit, collar that is.
