Tarmac 1
Went out last night with a mate just for a quick shine.. with my dog and his 8 1/2 month old first x bull. Spotted a roe at the side of a wood, a good 100 yards away, expecting it just to drop into the wood, but it had other ideas... this must have been the thickest deer ever i thought to myself , as it moved away from the wood and down a hederow, now i was excited, my dog had seen it, so we gave him a big slip, the deer just stood facing a hedrow, it looked asif the dog was going to pull it on the spot, the roe just stood there but with a little turn the deer moved off at full flight down the field, then the dog had the deer, but with its arse end :realmad: the roe managed to move with the dog still attached a few yards, before he had it on the ground, we sliped the young pup in for its first taste, and he did well! Once we reached it i could understand why it was a bit thick... only a yearling .. but they all count... Quote Link to post
