Guest Rey
Here are some photos I took at a coursing meet a couple of weeks ago. This is near the city of Medicine Bow in the state of Wyoming. The hares are whitetail jackrabbits, (Lepus townsendi). I hope you like them. Guest Rey
nice pics love to see coursing in any way shape or form, but why 3 dogs and noy 2 ?. also do you recieve many feet and toe injuries as it seems quite hard and dry. are the hares plentiful in that part ov the world. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Under our rules we run three at a time, each hound is scored and then the winner moves on. Most of the dogs feet hold up well, except for some of the greyhounds. The ground can be hard, but when it rains the mud can be very bad. It sticks to the dogs feet and spreads their toes, making them very uncomfortable. But the worst part is the cactus, you have to pull spines from the dogs feet every night. The hare population has been very good for the past couple of years. We can run 20 to 30 hares per day. Here are some shots from last year. Coursing in America Rey Quote Link to post
Kye 77
Me and FR might be up near that way soon...might hook up with me mate from OK, to run summat or other. We went out this morning...my male pup ran a jack rabbit for four minutes, in real heavy cover...he done well to bend it six times...he was just a speck in the distance, i could barly see him!.. The jack went down a hole in the end...dog came back with mouth, eyes and ears full of sand,...im feeling confident that the dog will do well single handed up at Medicine Bow. Kye,..
