secondhand dog?

ive been after a dog for a fair while now as some of you know and ive just been out lamping with a mates mate (the one who was offering me a bullxcolliexgrey) and his dog and after a bout 5 runs caught nothing, but came verry close. perhaps it was my slipping but hey. now i no ill probably get people saying only i can make the choice too get it or not but what what do you think. the dog took a crap and was all watery but im not sure what he feeds it on and he said it didnt have any food since the morning?? it seems verry freindly and fairly obediant, came back fairly quickly when he wanted it too. pulls abit on the lead but hey so does my mams little terrier. it was jumping on the lead when it saw rabbits and was dead keen. its broke to sheep and cows (thats all ive seen it with) and supose to be with ferrets too. its sire was a deerhound and dam a colliexgreyhound and its about 1. so what do you think? oh and he's getting rid of it because he says he got 2new bitches and ones in pup and getting and running out of space. the dog looks like it could do with abit more meat on it aswell as abit more exercise. opinions please?

if the owner of the dog is genuine mate he will let you take the dog on trial for a week or 2,that way no money changes hands and you dont get stuck with a poor dog.
