mat p 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 well i managed get my dad out with me and my bro after many a story of how it used to be done back in the day( he doesnt bother anymore!) and had a good couple of hours hes never seen a dog at work with ferrets and when simba and jesper froze at a 3 hole bury he asked whats up with the dogs son i told him that its a mark and there was something home first bury and a dig but it was only a foot so no stress we moved on further down the field where we found another nice bury and again a good mark from the dogs this time it was a bit bigger around 20 holes so we netted most of it and left 2 holes open for the dogs to mark in the thickest part of the hedge we managed to catch 6 3 of which came to the dogs and 3 to nets aswell as a couple that got away for next time so 7 in the bag in double quick time we decided to leave th rest for this weekend all in all a good mornings work and my old man says he wants to come lamping next time im out! looks like ive recindled the old hunter gatherer in him we will see what hes like when hes clambering over gates and under barb wire fences with the bunnys on his back! simba thinks theres something home! second bury waiting for a bolt! mat p 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 it was sold to me as a collie whippet greyound the dog was a whippet greyhound and the bitch collie greyhound but i spoke to another lad who had a pup of him from the same litter and he said the bitch had saluki in its breeding so im not 100% whats in him. i like the look of your stuff tho how they bred? im struggling for a decent picture of him this one shows him alittle better! mat p 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 hes about 2 1/2 now as we speak hes crying in the garden because hes seen the lamp to clever for his own good sometimes mate doesnt miss a trick if i go out with the terriers and leave him behind he wakes the neighbourhood no matter how crafty i try and be!
