BlueCoyote 0
just a question because i'm curious like that and i figured this is the best place to ask it.. the average lifespan for the show variety of large sight hounds is somewhere around 3 to 7 years give or take - depending on cancer and/or genetic diseases or not - Quote Link to post

mattyg 1,862
purebreds have too many ginetic flaws being passed on to the next generation and by outcrossing, somthing called hybrid vigour is produced thus prolonging life and being slightly less suseptable to certain ills. well somthing like that anyway! dont remember much from scholl only the interesting stuff.lol im sure other lads on here can put you straight where ive got it a bit wrong! But i think if you keep track of both parents bloodlines you can avoid that, or at LEAST reduce the chances? Quote Link to post
