woz 260
well chaps.sinse i was given my free lurcher a fortnight ago iv been giving him 3 or 4 miles road walking a day to get his feet hardened up and to get him used to me.i decided that tonight was the night to try him out.he had 7 runs on rabbits and did ok, worked the lamp well.came back to me without any trouble.was a little disheartened when he didnt get the first 6. but he hasnt done anything for a few months so he is unfit!!! was on way back to the landy and gave him one last run.he seemed to find another gear a nailed it.worked it back off the hedge perfectly and struck the rabbit hard.iv got him home washed his feet, given him half a feed and let him have a mouch round the garden.ok so i didnt get 30 rabbits and 12 foxes but 1 rabbit is a start and its my first one taken with a dog for at least 12 years so i'll remember it for many years to come..cheers for giving me bryn EARTH AND HOUNDS!!!!!!!
