Foxing yesterday .

Went for a round of the earths with josh today .Tried 6 farms with not so much as a half mark ,though we saw a large dog fox on the second farm and out in that freezing wind too!o .Last farm ,last try and we got lucky .Walking down towards the earths my terrier put a fox out the hedge .We were both caught unloaded and wrong sided for a shot but there you go .On further another fox bushed out in front which headed off teasingly towards an earth but bypassed it and ran up another hedge .Nearing the earth ,the terriers shot into a patch of bramble and baying started up .Shouted to josh to look lively and charlie bolted his side the hedge to be shot by him .Both terriers out and ragging so i got through the hedge to inspect the fox ,a beautiful dog of orangey coat .Went on to the main earths but nothing to ground?Bushed another which was unsighted until he was well away but still pleased with the one we got .Looks good for over the christmas period though. !

Sounds like you got many foxes lying about down there mate, few more guns you could do with, looks a good dog fox!

This particular farm goes through stages of plenty and barren .Some cracking earths there though ,just need something in them

Nice one mate & a good sized fox....

It sounds promising for you over the next few weeks & a bit more of that driving wind should put them in.

Had a nice dog fox on sunday & I'll be heading back up there on the weekend for another look & it was actually snowing a bit where I was sunday just gone.
